Annie Gordon, who joined the NFCA as an intern in 2016, was hired full time on February 1, 2017 and promoted to Director of Outreach and Creative Design in 2020. Gordon manages all aspects of the NFCA’s awards and scholarships program, StrikeOut Cancer initiative, and serves as the liaison for assistant coaches, international coaches and the awards and Hall of Fame committee. She is also the lead on the majority of graphic design projects, coordinates internships and is a member of the Events Team.

During her time, she has seen growth in the awards and scholarship program with the addition of the Field of Year and Humanitarian awards, as well as the creation of the Geri Ann Glasco Memorial scholarship. Additionally, the expansion in the of-the-year awards, which now includes recognition across all collegiate categories.

Gordon puts her artistic flair on many visible projects. She designed the 2019 NFCA National Convention logo and Program cover and produced the layout and cover for the 2020 NFCA Top Recruit magazine, along the various promotional flyers and social media graphics pertaining to the NFCA Convention, Coaches Clinics, Camps, educational initiatives. 

In addition, she is responsible for the NFCA’s annual report, assists in the page redesign on NFCA.org, worked on the organization’s branding initiative and assist with audio visual needs at the Convention and Coaches Clinics.

Gordon played collegiately for two years at Butte College before transferring to perennial Division II power UC San Diego, helping the Triton to a 2012 national runner-up finish. While attending Butte and UCSD, Gordon earned an associate degree in university studies and a bachelor’s degree in literature and writing. 

Gordon’s coaching career spans across the high school and junior college level. She has spent time as a head coach at Portola High School, assistant at Feather River College, South Oldham and Male High Schools in Louisville, before being named Male’s head coach in September 2019. During her time in Louisville, Gordon earned a master’s in sports administration from the University of Louisville in 2017.

Gordon, a native of Portola, Calif., resides in Louisville with her husband Seth and their daughters Shwayze and Kizzie
