Director of Communications
Brian Stanley joined the NFCA in October 2014. In his role as Director of Communications, Stanley is responsible for general press releases, media inquiries and the NFCA website.
He serves as the Association’s NCAA Division II and Playing Rules committee liaison, coordinates the NFCA Division I and NFCA Division II Coaches Polls, as well as the NFCA’s in-season weekly awards for Division I, Division II and High School. Stanley oversees the NFCA’s Division II All-America process as well as all other major NFCA Division II awards.
The Templeton, Mass. native produces and distributes the NFCA’s newsletter, Fastpitch Connected, and is the lead on the NFCA’s biennial Softball Scoring seminar (a collaboration with sports information directors), as the well as the NFCA Convention app, which were both introduced in 2016.
Prior to his arrival, Stanley served as an assistant sports information director at Radford University for 13 years, along with internships at the University of Tampa and Ohio University. He is a 1999 graduate of the University of New Haven, earning bachelor degrees in Management of Sport Industries and Business Administration.
