LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Amador Valley High School (Calif.) held steady atop the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll when the Association released its latest rankings on Thursday.
In seven total match-ups, the Dons have only allowed one run all season, playing four contests this week to improve their undefeated record to 7-0.
Holding firm at No. 2 this week was Northern (Md.), which remains unbeaten at 5-0. Bishop O’Connell (Va.) rose one spot from last week to third with its unblemished 6-0 mark. Also climbing in the ranks was John Curtis (La.), which slid into fourth, while Marcus (Texas) (20-1) dropped two positions to round out the top five.
Making their 2013 debut in the latest rankings were El Diamante (Calif.) (17-1-1) and Jack Britt (N.C.) (11-0), at No. 23 and No. 25, respectively.
The USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll is compiled by state representatives from across the country. Records for this week’s poll include all games played through March 27, 2013.
