Three SEC teams – LSU, Georgia and South Carolina join Florida State in the Gold bracket semifinals after Day 2 at the NFCA Leadoff Classic in Columbus, Ga. 

LSU, ranked No. 12 in the latest USA Today/NFCA Top 25, knocked off third-ranked and previously undefeated California and No. 4 Washington on Saturday. Kristin Schmidt won both games for the Tigers, who join Florida State as the two last unbeatens in tournament. 

Florida State got a walk-off double from Jessica van der Linden to knock off No. 5 Oklahoma in the first round of the championship bracket. The Seminoles out-hit Oklahoma en route to a 3-2 win. 

Georgia bounced back from Friday’s loss to Cal State Fullerton and knocked off Northwestern State 6-0 to Central Michigan 8-0. Michelle Green tossed a no-hitter against the Chippewas to pick up her sixth win of the season. 

South Carolina emerged from a three-way tie with Princeton and Fresno State in pool play, and knocked off No. 7 Michigan in the opening round of bracket play. Chrissy Schoonmaker hit an RBI single in the bottom of the seventh to win the game for USC. 

The Gamecocks will face Florida State while Georgia and LSU will square off. Both games are Sunday at 11 a.m., with the winners advancing to the tournament championship game. 

In the Silver bracket, Nebraska handed California its third consecutive loss to open up bracket play. Peaches James scattered five hits in a complete game shutout performance. 

Notre Dame made short work of Princeton, scoring five runs in the sixth inning to claim a 10-1 win over the Tigers. The Irish will face Nebraska in the bracket semifinals Sunday at 11 a.m. 

Georgia Tech defeated DePaul 5-1, and 15th-ranked Texas dropped to 1-3 in tournament play with a 4-0 loss to Fresno State. The Bulldogs will face Georgia Tech Sunday at 11 a.m. for the chance to play in the bracket final. 

Northwestern State handed Army its fourth loss in the tournament with an 8-3 win. The Demons will face Florida Atlantic, 4-1 winners over defending Leadoff Classic champion Massachusetts. 

No. 18 Arizona State got its first win of the tournament. The Sun Devils defeated 24th-ranked Cal State Fullerton 3-0 Saturday night. ASU faces Virginia Tech, who defeated Ohio State 1-0 in bracket play. 

Play continues on Sunday, with six consolation games beginning at 9 a.m. Bracket semifinals will be at 11 a.m., while consolation and bracket finals will be determined at 1 p.m.
