Linfield catcher Emilee Lepp and Coe pitcher Ashlee Simon have been named the NFCA Division III Co-National Players of the Week for games played April 11-17, the Association has announced. It was a record-setting week for both juniors, as Simon led No. 7 Coe to a 4-0 week and Lepp helped No. 1 Linfield run its win streak to 27 games.

Simon became just the 22nd NCAA Division III player and second in Iowa Conference history to surpass 800 career strikeouts.

She threw her first career seven-inning no-hitter against Mount Mercy early in the week and followed with a five-inning no-hitter of Simpson in league play.

For the week, the Riverside, Iowa, native went 5-0 with three complete games, striking out 46 in 23.2 innings, giving up just two hits and seven walks.

Lepp broke the NCAA Division III record for most home runs in a single season, smacking her 25th homer in a 9-4 win over Pacific.

In five games last week, the Colville, Wash., native hit .421 (8-for-19) with two home runs, 10 RBI, 15 total bases and a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage over 30 chances at catcher.
