Stanford pitcher Dana Sorensen is the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Division I Player of the Week for the week of March 26-April 1.

Sorensen, a sophomore from San Diego, California, went 2-0 in the opening weekend of Pac-10 play, including a 1-0 win over No. 1 ranked and previously undefeated UCLA on March 30. She also tossed a three-hitter with 14 strikeouts on April 1 to defeat No. 15 Washington 4-1. For the weekend, Sorensen had 21 strikeouts and two walks while giving up just five hits.

Sorensen leads the Cardinal pitching staff with a record of 17-1 and an ERA of 0.24. She has already broken the school's single season strikeout record of 186 with 206 K's this year.
