National champion Phoenix College (Ariz.) placed four players on All-America teams, including three first team selections, as released by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association on Thursday.

Leading the way were a pair of sophomores, pitcher Rachel Schwartz and shortstop Chelsie Mesa. Schwartz, who allowed just one earned run in her three national tournament wins, was named to the NJCAA all-tournament team, while Mesa was the tournament MVP.

The Bears were also represented by infielder Brittny Ernst on the first team and pitcher Roxanne Bejanaro on the second team.

Cowley County Community College (Kan.) catcher Ashley Dunkelberger was named the 2005 Diamond Sports Catcher of the Year.
