STARKVILLE, Miss. – Senior Cameryn Mammenga of Dakota Ridge High School in Littleton, Colo., has been named the MaxPreps High School Player of the Week by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association for games played through September 3, 2011.
Mammenga was nearly flawless at the plate as she led the Nation last week hitting .909. In three games the senior went 10-for-11 with three doubles and six RBIs. The senior slugger improved her overall season batting average to .619 with a slugging percentage of .762. Her efforts at the plate helped the Eagles extend their record to a perfect 6-0 this season.

To nominate a player for the award, the coach must enter his or her athlete's game stats into MaxPreps.com by Sunday evening to be eligible for that week’s award. The NFCA High School Players of the Week, one for each high school region, will be announced by the Association on www.nfca.org every Monday during the spring season.
