LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Northern (Md.) remains at No. 1 for the third week in a row according to the latest USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll that was released by the Association on Thursday. The Patriots remain unblemished this season with perfect 12-0 record after tacking on another win this past week.
The number two and three spots also remain unchanged with Bishop O’Connell (Va.) (15-0) and John Curtis (La.) (29-1) filling those positions, respectively.
Moving up one spot into fourth in the rankings is Logan (Calif.), knocking Amador Valley (Calif.) down a pair of slots into sixth. Rounding out the top five while continuing its climb up the ranks is Mission Viejo (Calif.).
After receiving votes during past polls, three schools made their way into the latest rating: No. 20 Hagerty (Fla.), with a record of 26-1, Niceville (Fla.) (25-1) at No. 21 and Sunrise Mountain (Ariz.) (29-1) at No. 22.
The USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 poll is compiled by state representatives from across the country. Records for this week’s poll include all games played through April 23, 2013.
