USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll
Valencia (Calif.) continued its run atop the USA Today/NFCA High School Top 25 Poll, the association announced Thursday.
The rest of the top nine remained unchanged as well, with Naples (Fla.) coming in second followed by Camarillo (Calif.) and Canyon del Oro (Ariz.).
Central Cabarrus (N.C.) continues to rank fifth, with Justin Northwest (Texas), Spruce Creek (Fla.), Buena (Ariz.) and Kennedy (Calif.) following at Nos. 6-8, respectively.
Smithson Valley (Texas) moved into the top 10 after a one-place jump, while Brentwood (Tenn.) leaped three places to No. 12. Red Mountain (Ariz.) stayed at No. 13 despite dropping a game this week, while Burleson (Texas) made a two-spot leap to No. 14.
Broad Run (Va.) jumped two places to No. 15. Sheldon (Calif.) and Shadle Park (Wash.) both also leaped two places, coming in at Nos. 16 and 17.
Roseburg (Ore.) debuted in the poll this week, emerging in the rankings at No. 18 with a 20-0 mark. South Florence (S.C.) extended its winning streak to 62 games and moved up a notch to 19th, while North Canton Hoover (Ohio), Butler (N.C.) and Vestavia Hills (Ala.) each advanced one spot to Nos. 20, 21 and 22.
Three newcomers claim places in the final four spots, with Archbishop Mitty (Calif.) leading the way at No. 23. Hamilton Southeastern (Ind.) follows at No. 24, while Seneca Valley (Pa.) debuts in a tie with Layton (Utah).
