KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Oregon Tech captured 12 first place votes and catapulted four spots to lead the way in the second regular season edition of the NAIA Softball Coaches’ Top 25. Similar large jumps occurred in the top five beyond the Owls’ leap, as Our Lady of the Lake (Texas) made a five-spot improvement to No. 2 earning two first place votes.
Cumberlands (Ky.) snagged four first place votes and made a 10-spot jump to No. 3, while Baker moved up six positions to No. 4. Southern Oregon also climbed four slots to round out the top five. Truett McConnell (Ga.) was the lone newcomer of the week, checking in at No. 23.
Additionally, Columbia's (S.C) Madison Lee and Hope International's Allie Puente earned NAIA Softball Player and Pitcher of the Week honors. (NAIA Release)
