LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Tampa extended its winning streak to 14 games and is now the unanimous No. 1 in this week’s 2023 NFCA Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll. The Spartans (35-2), who ascended to No. 1 last week for the first time in program history, picked up all 16 first-place votes to grab a firm hold on the top spot.
UT added three more Sunshine State Conference wins to its ledger with a sweep of Barry (3-2, 2-0, 5-0). It marked the fourth straight SSC sweep and seventh this season for the Spartans who improved to 23-1 in league play. UT plays host to 11th-ranked Saint Leo this weekend in a nationally-ranked showdown between the top two SSC programs.
