This program is for you! Quick Out of the Box, a curriculum for new head coaches is designed to connect new collegiate head coaches, with one another, as well as with veteran head coaches in a classroom setting. New head coaches have unique needs when it comes to mentorship. We understand that there is a very small window to successfully instill a culture when taking over a program. The goal of this educational initiative is to shorten the learning curve and help the next generation of champions thrive in their new positions.
Designed for first-year head coaches (no head coaching experience prior to 2020), the NFCA will be utilizing Google Classroom, Zoom, and other online tools to help coaches connect and grow over the course of the year. They will have access to more than 50 long-tenured and successful collegiate coaches, who will offer their advice and share documents on a wide array of topics including team management, practice planning, recruiting, relationships with administrators, managing staff, budget planning, alumni outreach, fundraising, academic monitoring, discipline, documentation procedures, mental training, COVID-19 procedures, and social justice education.
Head to your members-only "Coach's Box" and click on "Coaching Tools" to access the "Special 2020 COVID Summer Edition presented by USSSA." Watch along as Pride athletes share their favorite softball concepts with you, focusing on pitching, positive self-talk, and goal setting.
